“I love woodworking and always been a champion for my fellow veterans. I was at Ace Hardware a long time ago and a young woman saw my VHI hat. She asked if I help build the urns and caskets.” I replied, “Why, yes I do.”

“Someone built an octagon urn for my dad and it was beautiful.” The young woman responded.

I replied, “Well young lady, that was me.” She ran over to me and gave me a great big hug!! “I’ve never forgot that and it still gives me goosebumps thinking about it. That single moment has motivated me all these years!”
